A scoop will bring more air into the engine bay, which you don't really need. At best it cools the engine area a few degrees and some of that convection helps cool the intercooler some minute amount. More likely it has no positive effect on performance at speed where it counts and it adds air pressure under the car where you don't want it.

FYI - Subaru has their intercooler and intake mounted on top of the engine and ducts to that.

A heat extractor just rearward of the turbo might be worth messing with.

Turn the scoop around and make it a vent.

 

lol they could have done a better job on that inter cooler.
My engine bay seems very hot all the time =/ (would like tp vent it some how in the future)

i guess just looking for ideas.
