mine doesn't, and my old one didn't either...

 

Usually the underhood light works fine. Fix it, it's useful.

Kinda reminds you of the interior lights in the old VW's...could you ever see anything when they did work ?

 

ha i didn't know i was wired with the headlights i just found out mine works

 

There is another light that is wired on that circuit - I don't understand why they chose that particular circuit, but what do I know - the little green light in the center console is also on the parking / headlight circuit. Parking lights have to be on for this console light to be illuminate.

Both my 86 and 89 9000's had the under light, and they worked - but no light in the 95 Aero ......

 

Yeah id like to see pictures of this, my 96 9000 doesnt have one.

Be sure to have your parking / headlight switch in the 'on' position for the bonnet light to work. It is a mercury switch and the hood has to be fully in the upright and locked position !

 

ahh thanks for the info! i will try this once the car is back together. lol.

kinda going crazy with engine painting. pulled the DI, radiator fan, multiple brackets/plastic bits/battery tray etc.

ALL getting painted to perfection.
