Did you check the BPC hoses?

 

Did the wastegate actuator arm fall off?

 

just did that today. everything appears intact and hooked up. they are pretty much brand new so unless someone used a razor and cut holes in them they are okay.



hmmm.. is this common? and that is under/behind turbo right?

 

any easy fix to this if the pin is gone? also that screen door spring "upgrade" does it help with this?

 

I used a small piece of stainless steel wire to keep the rod there. Worked wonders and is easier to remove than the circlip.

 

If the pin is gone get a new one. Eeuro/dealer will have the exact one that goes there, or you can get a cotter pin or push nut instead.

if this is the problem i will def be going the lowes route to get the part to fix it.

yeah i would check that wastegate acutator arm first also, but its no big deal to pull the intake off the turbo and reach in with two fingers and see if there is any major play in and out up or down and see if it even still turns freely

intercooler hose? try resetting the ecu

 

yeah i get that a lot also, my friends car uses a walbro and actually needs it if he wants to beat on it and i have one in my car...so i can wait to get to the track and it be his turn to run, as people will be watching me take my fuel pump out and put it in his car lol

so i checked it last night after work and def the actuator rod. couldn't get my hand in there to reconnect it though so had to wait till this morning so the stuff wouldn't be 900 degrees.

fought to reconnect it this morning.. seriously you need to have midget hands to get in there and put anything around that.

Any tiny handed people in my area wanna help so i can reinforce the attatchment?

The easiest way to do it is from underneath the car.

 

yeah i need ramps as my large cranial cavity doesn't fit under there (stupid cross member on the frame)
the 3" dp doesnt help either.
