Well today I went to go find out if I have kidney stones at about 8:00 this morning. Now I am not much of a morning person but the procedure that was needed to find out if my bladder was good sure worked better than anything I have ever used to wake my self up. The procedure is called a cystoscopy and pretty much they stick this down your pee hole. Now the expression of the pissing razor blades is true after you go through a procedure like so. So if you think you had a bad day just think about this being inserted into your pee hole..

I find it rather hard to keep well hydrated during the cooler months, I would not be shocked if I end up on the list of stoners soon.

Mental note *Drink more water*
yeah - I'm wagering I'll be on the list myself sometime since I drink 80% Diet Ice Tea everyday..... I rarely drink straight water in more then 16oz quantity these days. And don't get me started on my coffee intake either. lol I'd doomed to piss stones.

I'm a stoner from way back. My first kidney stone attack happened about 14 years ago. I was driving a 24' straight truck up a main street in one of Cincys suburbs and almost passed out from the pain.

Spent a night in the hospital, passed the stone over night. I've had a few attacks since then. The most recent happened at the end of the summer and it was one of the worst. I had two separate attacks in a weeks time. I couldn't eat and then I stared throwing up the pain killers and the anti-nausea meds.

I've never had anything inserted into my pee pee.

Burns, DeLorean, start drinking water and instead of iced tea, drink green tea.

Reminds me of my colonoscopy last fall. Same impliment I think. The funniest part was me almost passing out of shock during the iv placement. It took 2 nurses. :D

All this talk has convinced me to drink more beer tonight, and to cleanse my colon with a ton of hot chicken wings.

Kidney stone almost killed my dad. The stone was so large it blocked the kidney up and cause the kidney to back flow into the blood stream giving him a fever of 107 degrees. If he wasn't in the hospital and in marathon shape they said it would have killed him.

Stones are no joke.

Well the doc thinks even though I am in no pain that I may have one because I bleed more after a long run which means it could be bouncing around and since its past the 4 week normal pass time it may be to big to leave my kidney. Me personally think BS and think its going to be more serious than that.

Beyond large quantities of beer intake, I can honestly say I typically average a 1/2 to full gallon of water a day. I very rarely drink soda, never drink tea or coffee and pretty much normally always piss clear (sign of good hydration).

Drink that water guys! Not only to prevent the stones, but overall it helps with just feeling better and healthier.

I've had that gizmo inserted a couple times. I had a kidney stone get stuck and impacted. Worst pain I ever had in my life. I seriously wished they'd just kill me. I was morphed up for a couple days. They had to go in and put a stint around the impacted stone to drain my kidney, then put me on drugs to kill the swelling and get the stone to free up. Then they went back in again to remove the stint. Basically 2 surgical procedures without an incision--use your imagination.

Kidney stones are srs bsns--drink your water!

My old man had an incident where the hospital told him he had both a kidney and a bladder stone issue - and that they would pass on their own. He was warned to expect the usual pain and was sent on his way. They never passed - and I believe they can't find them during an x-ray either. Guess they dissolved? lol
