1992 Saab 900 Turbo (Posted 1/29/2008)

Color: Citron Beige Trans: Manual Mileage: 136,000 Price: $6000 OBO
I bought this 900 last year and am forced to sell due to personal circumstances. New parts include rebuilt transmission. Borg & Beck clutch (complete system). Abbott Racing 2.5" exhaust. 9000 intercooler and piping. 2.1L cylinder head and intake. K&N air intake. All rotors, pads and rear calipers. Bilstein shocks. A/C manifold hoses and receiver drier. Recent Yokohama tires. Alpine head unit (original available) and Infinity speakers. Inspected in PA until 08/08. There are other items but not enough space!!! Headliner is just starting to sag in the corners otherwise interior is flawless. Only item needing attention is penetrating rust on the passenger A-pillar. I paid $6,000 for the car and have invested $3,000 so I would like to try and recoup what I originally paid, though I am negotiable. Please feel free to call for more information or to look/drive this car - you will not be disappointed.

1997 Saab 900SE (Posted 11/5/2007)

Color: Cayenne Red Trans: Automatic Mileage: 52,250 Price: $8995
This is an immaculate one family owned, low mileage last generation Saab 900. Ordered new in Cayenne Red with Black Leather Interior. The body is dent and scratch free. Oil changed every 4,000 miles. 30k and 60k services done. This is the nicest NG Saab 900 in the country. Car has Leather, 17" Viking Wheels, Very rare Front and Rear Heated Seats. Automatic, with sport and winter mode. I hate to have to sell her but she neer gets driven anymore now that I have a company car. Pictures, Carfax, and Serivce records available. If you buy this car you will not be sorry!!

Umm... ya..

haha, yeeeeah. Has anyone noticed that the high priced cars on saabnet that actually sell are pristine STOCK cars? Cars like moded 900-turbos don't seem to sell at all, they are one of those cars that you can add up the value of the mods, deduct that from the cars KBB value, and you have the price of the car you can actually sell it at. that 92 isn't worth $800 IMO, especially with a rust hole in the screen (indicated a botched windscreen replacement). Moding a C-900 is not something that is a profit making venture

I think I might just list the 91 900-T on saabnet for my own entertainment value for $5000. If it sells for that I'll do 3 backflips, and probably have a heart attack. I'll be able to buy one of those fancy "bulletproof" transmissions from Sweden, install that into one of the other 2 $100 cars I recently got and drive those forever.

Unless it's like a Hirsch modified car, the more you self-modify, the more it gets devalued.

And that applies to virtually any car, really, not just Saab.

So, ya, a pristine, unmolested, low mileage car will hold its value far better.

Relatively speaking. We ARE talking Saabs, after all...
