I'll be building my new setup starting next week. Pretty sure there only very few or no Saab 9-3's with these type of wheels. Stay tuned!

I am glad you are prepared to see pictures. It's okay if people are not prepared as I never said for everyone to be prepared before I post pictures. And I would post pictures, but I don't have any now, hence why I said I will be building them next week. This is a process that will take time; therefore, I will post pictures as the build progresses. If you take a look at some build threads on forums, they post now and then when they get parts, get something new done, etc.

If the wheels are at the flushness I went normally, then I'll leave them alone. If I want a little more poke, I'll reverse 'em. A few pics will be posted tonight.

Yes, my car will be more stanced, I'm getting new wheels, new tires, and boring out the wheel hub a tad. This thread is also about rebuilding 2 piece wheels. Basically "customizing my old 9-3".

Thanks for the input, man!

size? offset?

i just need to commit and finish my benz wheels
16x7

+25ish mm when I quickly measured it.

And yeah, man! I really want to see how the benz wheels look when you're all done. Good stuff.

not even real bbs's. pfff...waste of time.
why not pick up a set of bmw bbs style 5's to work with? they are pretty much the same wheel.
Haha, I wish. I can't ball out like you guys and buy Work XD-9s or something. Just trying to do what I can with what I have.

Thanks for the input so far, guys.

I think the old skool treatment will definitely work. It's definitely pretty unique on a NG900/9-3.

If the original bolt spacing is 5x112 you can get by with wobble bolts and a hub adapter if necessary. (Dunno what that hub diameter is, though...) On the plus side, there looks like there might be enough meat around the center bore if you need to have that milled out.

I'd still think about adapters, though....you would get more width, and still keep the setup really safe. The H&R Trak Plus adapters can bolt to the existing hub...but I don't know if they come in 5x110. You might need to go custom, which I'd bet that some people on the Cobalt boards have done....;)

Yeah I'm looking at the two options I have. I'm leaning towards wobble bolts and boring the center hub since the +25mm offset will already have the wheel stick out in the front.

Now the problem is, I know I need to give the machine shop the width and dept I want to mill. The hub bore size would be 65.1mm, but how deep do I go?

Also, does anyone know if I could put spacers between the wheel and hub safely? Or do I need extended wobble bolts(if there's such a thing)?

Take a wheel with you and they'll measure the depth and bevel of the bore. No worries. They'll have it right there, be able to get the right measurements, and if they screw up...it's on them. Most shops would likely require you to do this...

And yep, you can definitely run safely spacers between the hub and wheel as long as the spacer is hubcentric and you get longer bolts to make up the difference. That kind of setup is actually TUV certified (tough German version of DOT standards). Unfortunately, you often see guys just get a few 10mm spacers from AdvancePepZone and stack them.

Sadness often ensues.

So i'm looking to order wobble bolts right now.

Front:
M12 x 1.5 26mm thread length

Rear
M12 x 1.5 40mm thread length (adding 15mm spacers)

Do those specs look right for wobble bolts?
Also, I've been searching, but can't seem to find a direct website as to where to buy these specific wobble bolts. Any help would appreciated. Thank you.

EDIT: after more research, it seems like they don't make extended wobble bolts. My most realistic alternative is getting bolt on spacers so the spacers bolt on to the hub and the lugs bolt into the spacer. Does that sound fine/safe?

there is no such thing as an extended wobble bolt. been there hunted for months for that.

i would look into sending the wheels to someone like rotiform or the such for the work. many regular machine shops will not do this stuff.

whats the bore on the wheels?
