....

JUST KIDDING! IT'S A CORVETTE! LOL

Picked it up yesterday in VA. Drove to MA non stop for 9 hours, including horrible traffic in NYC (Yes, should've taken Tapanzee instead of George).

So far, I love it. It actually handles and if I thought GTO was handling like a dream compared to a Viggen, GTO feels like crap compared to corvette. Feels like a bullet on the highway. With all the power and little weight, it has plenty of cool things aboard, like heads up display, bose sound system, navigation, keyless start, tire pressure sensors etc.

Iron Joe, it's a big step up. Do it, don't wait for the Z.

its a 2006 z51 fully loaded.

Yes, condo still in plans.

Hirsch, it's only $50 on a top of GTO yearly which makes it $2380 a year for me to insure and I live in Boston at age of 22 so I think it's awesome.

Going to UMass Amherst car show tomorrow, I'll definitely get some pictures there.

Damn, I pay a lot less than that for home, auto and an umbrella policy. Of course I'm 40, married w/children and a homeowner.

But hey, if I was young and single....

Nearly $2500 a year for insurance? Holy hell.

Nice car though. I rented one from Hertz when I was out in Vegas, as always the GM interior was a let down.

I read a story recently about a guy who got trapped in his vette, the battery was too discharged to operate the electronic door opener and he failed to know about the manual release right below on the floor. Fire department had him climb out the hatch or something. FAIL.

Dude. I am seriously disappointed.

You were in Alexandria and didn't let the WASSAAB contingent know you were in town????

For shame.*

Well bought car though! Suhweet! I'd love to get my hands on a 'Vette, but with the boys, I do need 4 seats, so the Goat is the Vette for me.

I live in the middle of Boston and I'm 22 with no speeding tickets. I think it's a great price for owning a vette for where I am. Pretty sure if I moved to suburbs it would go down to around 1900-2000 a year. I was paying 3300 for my 900se insured one way when I was 18...

Fuel efficiency is amazing. Took around 20 gallons from VA to Boston at high speeds.

And yes, nose feels long but I kinda like it.

You think it's only a vette but this thing grabs attention of everybody! Even with my monaro front in GTO, I wasn't getting as many looks as with this thing.

For the mods, I'm thinking exhaust, intake, wheels, different diffuser and maybe a wrap but it's in the air. Matte white.

Nice car. With the 6 speed in a older C-5 I could do some great mileage runs. It was great, mid Maine and back on a single fuel stop at the start and one quick off ramp pee in CT in a nice abandoned industrial park. 500 miles on a tank and still about 1/4 left with an easy 30 mpg.

The best way to hit Boston believe it or not is the long way.

Take Mass Pike right to Albany then down 87.

Anything to avoid 84 or 95 and you are way ahead of the game or the worst is that you break even and have a relaxing ride.

Don't try this on heavy holiday weekends though. The Borscht Belt Bottleneck starts at around Kingston.

Nice grab. Price?

Can't go wrong with black, also the stock wheels are perfect!

Oh and I will most certainly wait, the Chariot is keeping me busy at the moment.
I love the wheels but I want it to stand out so need something standoutish.

I'm guessing the <$20k C5 ZO-6 idea flew out the window once you drove a C6. Its a much improved car in all ways except the actual drive. I approve! Hell of a car for a 22 year old. I was knee deep in dodge daytona at that age.

Maybe now you finally get laid. ;)
lol ironic.

i found few c5z's but after driving one i could really feel this car was made in 1997. c6 on the other hand is still in production and despite cheap looking console which i'm going to replace with a new leather one, looks great, even compared to gto. Only thing I miss are the window switches that were on the center console in a gto.
