I picked this baby up last week. Bone stock 2004 350z enthusiast w/ 59k and a 6speed. The near 300hp + RWD = lots of fun. As for condition, its in good overall shape, although the interior will need some TLC b/c of some of the crappy plastics Nissan used (and probably continues to use). Clean title, 1-owner car. Should be a great DD for the rest of the warm weather in 2013. My viggen will soon be for sale :(

Yup, I would never even think about DD'ing one of these in the winter. My brother had one in the past, and even with good tires, it was almost comical how terrible it was on just a dusting of snow or ice. 350z in winter = death wish

Thanks. It's been fun thus far!

Nice new acquisition! Whats the vig like these days? Miles? Pics? Not that im mildly interested or anything ;)
The viggen is pretty much in the same condition I bought it in (except for new fuel pump, tires, blower motor, etc etc), minus a dented drivers door from my brother who backed into it:sad010: Oh, and the radiator blew out today too, so that's to be replaced soon. I swear that there is a curse that comes into play when I consider selling any saab I own! More details and pics to come in the next week or two when I get the time to clean the car up, do some maintenance, etc.

Nice. I've looked at these myself, but I think they are out of my price range (looking to spend around 8k).

Watch out for the timing chain issues on these vq35 motors. I had to replace all the timing Components on the motor in my quest at 120k miles. You may be well away from that mileage, but I have heard some start early.
Yeah, I had read about some people having bad luck with timing chains. Seems like a completely hit or miss type of thing. Time will tell though. No noise right now (knock on wood!).

My sister used to work at a Nissan/Honda dealer and got one of these (in a convertible) as a loaner once. I spent about 20 miles with it. You're right about the interior plastics, some of the worst I've seen in a post MY2000 car. Build quality was pretty poor too with squeaks and rattles all over.

I much prefer the looks and interior of the 370, but of course they're a lot more dough.

Have fun!
Correct on the 370z vs. 350z. While the interior isn't the best on the 350z's though, I think that the overall build quality is pretty decent. These things are solid (heavy), decently reliable with surprisingly good fuel efficiency (28mpg highway), and they also get tons of looks/attention. Totally different animal than a Saab.
