bankers check, so i have the info of the person who deposited it. i'm going to my bank to have them get the person info, cause the bank it went into said they can only give out personal info to my bank who then can give it to me. he forwarded the check to some chick in tempe, az. so i'm going to call her up and be WTF is the deal with Roland Hedrick and my wheels.

Told you that you should have used a holding company. They would have held the check till the rims were recieved and then given him the check and sent the rims to you.

Also that buyer protection that Ebay touts is only if you purchase via paypal through either there buyer credit or by running your card or bank account through them.

Incorrect.

Ebay has its own fraud protection. I paid for a radar detector with a money order. I followed the steps through ebays own protection and provided them with all the proof I had. They provided me with $175, the maximum.

That was a while ago, they may have changed policies.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience.

I detest eBay and PayPal. Been screwed once, and it's enough for me to stay away. If others have had great experiences, that's cool. Just not my cup o' tea. /rant

I'll be in LV from Sunday (CES) want me to look for him? ;)

holly crap what kind rims did you get? he had a classified on sc awhile back, i bought some viggen wheels from "bill/william hendrick" about a year ago. i payed through pay pal thinking it was safe, but if its not through ebay they only use best effort recoveory, wich is a massive joke. i filled a consumer fraud complaint with nevada in aguast, nothing so far. i have my whole case saved still an like three copies of it. i have his phone number, or the one he had this summer also.... if you need any help i'll give it to you. I would also like your help. he screwed me outta alot of money!!!! whats his cardomain btw...

I got ripped off by this guy, too, for some rims. back in the spring.

PM me the details.

I had a private investigator try and trace him, and there are multiple aliases and variations of the name Bill Hendrick(s). I have an address in Las Nevas, but not Reno (then again, it could be a guy in LV pretending to be in Reno)

This reminds me I need to file a criminal complaint as well. Perhaps if the po-po start getting multiple complaints with the same MO and same perp they'll start paying attention.

BTW Paypal has a very specific window for dispute resolution that if you miss it, you're SOL. Like 20-45 days IIRC. This guy's MO for me was e-mails back saying "sorry, forget, I'll ship it tomorrow" -- in retrospect clearly designed to get me past the Paypal window of opportunity.

Sounds like what that Dan Coleho fucker-bitch from Ludlow, MA was trying to pull on me about a year ago.

This guys sounds like a bitch.

I had to fight for months before I got my money back from my eBay scammer.

edit: I got Dan Coleho's number, his mortgage info, the place where his kid attended school, where he and his wife worked, his bosses phone number, and more shit about him. I presented the info to him and *like magic* the money showed up in my account.

Also, there were several phone calls to his residence at odd hours of the night and day. And there were people other than me calling and email about saab wheels and where to buy them.

I'm saying...talk to people who know people who can find stuff out for you. Then make sure you creep the fucker out, and get them to think that you can do much worse to them than they are trying to do to you!

;-)

All the time be respectful and then they will crack. The guy fuckin went off on me about harassment, and I kindly reminded him that he was trying to defraud me, and that what I was doing, in the situation he put me in was not harassment.

edit: if they are as dumb (trackable) as the guy I was dealing with, and you can send them a photo of their own house, it might help matters out to convince him that you are SRS BSNS.

Funny thing...

Currently a member on this forum (who has not posted in this thread) is giving a local friend and TSL member the shaft on something that was paid for over a month ago.

A small, not too expensive item, but its upsetting the person who paid for it none-the-less.

So, people, lesson here is that if someone gives you money, its a good idea to turn around and ship the shit to them. If not, life can get very annoying for you.

That guy is me......

Yes I did sell you those BBS RK wheels, 4 of them and I appologize for the hassle that I have put you through, as a fellow SAABer I would not want this to happen to me. I did not scam you however...... I still have them, they were being re finished and a crack was found so I decided to have ONE wheel welded....... That did not work out so I had to source a wheel from Sacramento I am sorry about the delay. just call 775 881 8391 and I will have your wheels sent to you.
