What about using black wrinkle paint? It would match the valve cover good at least.

 

Silver would look more OEMish which is what the wrinkle coat on the valve cover looks like. Very clean, but stock

 

Parts are all sandblasted, I just need to do a little more on the manifold and scrape down some gasket I didn't get off the first time. I shoulda took before/after of inside the throttle body, really cleaned up nice. Im just going to powdercoat right over the tb springs, if it cracks off then so be it.

Think im going to pick a glossy silver. Brackets will be satin black along with some other parts. While i love polished, its far too difficult to maintain it.

I did texture black like the valve cover for my viggen intake manifold.. It just blends in.

Another option might be red to match the DI but that is a hard challenge, I tried to match it for a couple customers, never got close enough to be happy.

sandblasted looks good. Remember Any paint/coating will trap more heat.
