i have these on my 9-3... i like them a lot (except that all 4 are bent, but i'd bend anywheel with the way i drive/pittsburgh and colorado roads)

That's not a garbage tire... While it may be inexpensive, they happen to be one of the best summer tires that I have run. Sticky, Long-Life and pretty quiet. And for 68 a tire, they really can not be beat.

I just bought some new for 310 that included shipping but without tires like yours have on them

 

General Tire is owned by continental, and from what ive heard they quite a good tire for the money, so dont let the name fool ya.

they are rated one of the best if not best tires on tirerack

 

I will admit for the price they are pretty good, and after browsing a while on tirerack I noticed they are pretty light too, at 21 lbs. The best Max Summer Performance tires are 26lbs. I assume the extra weight goes into a stiffer sidewall. (Just guessing)

I used to sell tires. With the generals it was common for them to require more weight for balancing, be out of round, or wear out unusually fast. But to their credit they are round.....

for bank vs buck I was always partial to Kuhmo's. Saabkid is right, those wheels are $400 brand new.

 

For $716, you can buy this package new from tirerack. I think 600 is a little steep as well, especially with quarter tread tires.
