I have a transmission from a 1995 9000 CS LPT - 5 speed with about 160K
Trans worked when removed - went into all gears properly. Trans has been sitting for several years in storage and I have recently aquired an Aero trans to upgrade my Automatic with. WAS Asking $325 for this trans - willing to meet partial way/bring to Carlisle. Non-refundable deposit required to hold trans until further arrangments - contact me for more details if you have any questions.

Price Drop - $290!!! Pick Up Only
Willing to meet for compensated time/drive expenses.

Ughh, so far away

I never see 9k transmissions locally (and not too often online) - I have connections for a bunch of 60,xxx-70,xxx og9-3 boxes even a 9-5 box but no 9k gearboxes!

but if nothing else being from an Lpt could be seen as a sign that it wasnt abused.. 170hp can only brake these trannys if it realllly trys hard
Good point - but abuse is abuse and t25's spool up fast

Any history of previous ownership/life?

I replaced an axle in a '94 Aero with one from a '96 CS, and according to Saab's EPC, the two had different parts, but I was able to take both of them apart and get everything that I needed to do my axle replacement in the Aero.

I thought there may be a difference in the axle tube for the passenger side - but I can not say for certain what if any of these discrepancies are.... I've yet to run across them personally at this time. My 1995 9000 CS has an Aero Driver side axle assembly installed currently and it fit directly.... now it was auto to auto.

I'm not as sure about the auto, but I think while I was looking through the parts catalog we determined that the auto's were the same regardless of Aero/non-Aero, but I'm not positive about that memory since it was about a year ago and I was doing research for manual trans cars.

Trans came from link memeber here who's car was in an accident I believe and resulted in parting out and I bought the rolling chasis/drivetrain to rebuild my current 9000 (I needed the engine and parts for the 5 speed swap) Car was from Up-state NY. As far as I know it was in good condition when the car was taken off the road. The original owner has more items from this exact car for sale right now on this very forum. 2 of it's doors are in Plymouth PA - 2 More in Bucks County. Engine is in my 9000.
