Looks like that new Subaru truck Tribeca.

It's tough to take ugly and make it look decent somtimes.... god what have I done by workin for "Saab" I'm gonna be quittin that place if I hafta work on those THINGS and the 9-7's often... ppl - stop takin yout GM re-badged cars into the Saab dealership - take them next door to the Chevy building and across the way to the Subaru dealerships.... I just wanna work on the "saab's" and not these hunks of crap. :evil:

I think the front end looks pretty sharp, personally.

 

I like how it's a 3 door. With a better tail light treatment, it wouldn't be that bad.

Anyway, I think it's pretty good. Remember, we're a year away from release and it's a prototype. These are also cameraphone photos that can't show the entire car in one hit. There's hints of 9-3x in there and with a Saab rather than Subie interior I think this would really go well.

Other than the shape of the tail lights, the back is pretty well differentiated from the subie. The ugly creases in the subie are smoothed out. I quite like it myself.

My feelings exactly.

Looks pretty bland, even though it's a definite improvement over the God-awful Tribeca.

 

Not too bad... I'd go for that over a Tribeca any day. Could be worse... could be based on a Peugeot or Citroen!

 

Another insult to Saab enthusiasts. If I was given one for free I still wouldn't drive it. I'd sell it, buy a Saab and use the extra money to make it crazy.

 

they really ought to make those taillights different shape than the tribeca, they are too similar, even without the little white lens the tribeca has the shape is dead tribeca.

so it could be much better... :wink: but it could be much worse.

9-6x = b9 tribeca witha saab badge...not one frickin change besides the front grill...


thats horrible and GM is just wasting there money for now reason doing shit like that...it pisses me off even more that the GM guy at convention basically was sent there to lie out his ass...but whatever

 

i think i watched that guy take those pics.... he sat it the 9-7x that was sitting nose - to -nose with that 9-6x and took the picture of the front.... and he thought no one was looking. . . haha.

And if you guys think about it you wouldnt be complaining about these cars that much. Sure i absolutely HATE that they are based from subaru's.... but when i have kids in a few years, im going to be damn happy to be able to buy a saab mid-size SUV to haul them around in. There is NO WAY there grubby little fingers would ever touch my 9k aero. haha I always tell my mom that when i have kids im putting Mr. YUK stickers on my 9k and telling them to stay away cuz its dangerous. :lol:

Anyways - i know this isn't a Saabuaru based comment - but that new look of the 9-5 :shock: BLAH!!!

 

Man - I don't think the new 95 is too bad. In fact, from the front, I REALLY like it.

 

AGREED!! I think they did a good job on updating the 9-5 without damaging the old look.

 

I also did not initially like it ("new" 9-5) but it has grown on me.

I can't wait to see it in person.
