Well folks, after 4 months I finally finished reupholstering my Aero's headliner in black suede. I bought the suede on eBay, and used 3M Super 77 spray adhesive to hold it. It seems to hold quite well so far, except the areas that are really stretched tight. Luckily those are hidden by the grab handles and sun visors. My first attempt came to a halt when the headliner broke in half as I was removing it, so I had to wait until I could rob the headliner from my mom's car since we had to part it out anyway. I also painted all the interior trim pieces black to match the headliner, and for the most part those turned out fine, apart from the paint going on kind of thick. The Krylon I used worked perfectly on the plastic pieces (dome light, reading lights, sun viso clips), but apparently it was a very bad choice for the grab handles, since they're more of a rubbery-type material. They are still very sticky, and attract all manner of things, from fingerprints to entire hands, cell phones, loose change, and the occasional dragonfly
Anyway, overall I am very pleased with the results, being my first headliner. It really changes the whole atmosphere of the interior.
