magnaflow or flowmaster offer a bunch

 

I have dual tip on mine. With a whopping big resinator on it , same one that is fitted on a Monaro( I think we sell them to you as a pontiac ), or WRX, fitted directly behind the cat. Here is the exact one I just bought and fitted. Sounds Brilliant! Start the car and it sounds like a small beating V8. Bup da bup dadabup

Sitting on 60, 80 or 110 kilometers an hour no sound at all just a gentle purr.

Take off like a scolded cat and it roars. Check this store out. The guy who runs it is brilliant. No dodgy listings what you bid is against other bidders not a dodgy lister. Do not buy that one ^ I had the same idea on my bmw.....bad idea.

 

Why is it a bad idea ?? I have it fitted and now my car hits the rev limit !. It never did before and it sounds and performs well. Why is such a bad idea ???

 

Buy a 3 inch Magnaflow muffler. Do not buy a Flowmaster as it is chambered.

 

Meaning they don't flow well? This guy at work wants to get one, but I'm trying to convince him to put on a glasspack (V6 Impala).

 

SummitRacing has a large selection of exhaust tips. I'd suggest a magnaflow muffler with a 4" oval tip like I did

 

What i did with mine, was that I bought a 2.5" exhaust tip and cut it to fit over the 3" jt exhaust and then welded it to the exhaust. Im really happy with how it looks since the whole muffler looks kinda stock except for the little tip

 

thanks for all the ideas. the canister on the end now is a magnaflow. could i move that to behind the cat and then fit a more subtle tip on?

 

CHERRYBOMB!!!!! there glasspacks are awesome and flow almost as good as a straight piece of pipe.,, and if you want something more mundane (and less cool) there vortex series flows like crazy....

I wouldn't recommend the cherry bomb or straight pipe....

My car with a full JT exhaust is pretty loud as it is.....cruising is ok but the thing screams once you get on it.....

 

update.

i ended up buying a pacecatter "tip" 3" in and dual 3" out. it say is has a resonator but im feeling like it will be very close to a straight pipe. ill post pictures and a video when its on. delivery date is tomorrow

welp the tip is all welded on. it looks awesome. and sounds ALOTTT better. i have some pictures that are uploading now. ill post them up really soon. the only major thing was that the cut out in the bumper had to be trimed. i think i want to make a trim piece so it looks more finished.

I really like how it looks minus the yellow though.

 

Its expensive if its just the tip, The yellow will dirty with wear as well.

Mine was way less in cost and is a straight through muffler as well.

 

it is exactly that. im going to paint the yellow parts black. just havent gotten to it yet

 

Not really a fan of the twin tips...

 

its a tip with resonators in it. im really happy with the sound and look. plus i got some black heat resistant paint to get rid of the yellow. ill take some good pictures when its all done

 

Its going to turn black within a year anyway, no need painting them.
