So I am on sabatical alone here in MI to get back into drawing cars. I havent been drawing cars in 3 years, almost 4.

Its been about 6-7 years since I would draw cars for hours at a time for the enjoyment. But college kind of killed that for me. So I made it a pledge to draw for me.

So here it is, my first sketch in 4 years. I dont know what it is, I kind just went with it.

By Sophmore more year things got nuts. Freshman year your first day wass...here is your syllabus go buy tons of supplies and your first week was easy.

First day the next year...300 sketches of a small city/urban vehicle for the year 2030 and 6 full color renderings due in 48 hours. It goes from drawing cars out of love to creating cars in a sweat shop.

You know what, I just realized... I have an old hot wheels car that reminds me of your drawing...

Pontiac Banshee, 80's concept car... Similar roof and nose

Not implying anything, just remarking on the resemblance... After over a 100 years of 1000's of car designs anything will resemble something.

About how long would you take to draw something like that? is it a sketch or more methodical, just curious!

I guess to me it seems like something that might have come from lotus really. I can really pitcure that car with a yellow/black two tone type paint job, bare to the necessaties(sp) interior, and obviously a stellar suspension set up

Ironically the same day I am showing the Ragster to a placement agency...

I am reading this months issue of Automobile magazine.

There it is, a pic of the Ragster. They say the next Beetle will be more aggressive with cues taken from the Ragster.

The best part of it was they said VW was planning another Beetle.

IN 03/04 I told them of a proper future for the Beetle. I told them it should return to the peoples car. It should cost $13k, come with no frills, rear engine and be about the size of a Mini cooper.

So of course the article said VW was planning to make just that.

I am not saying VW is doing it JUST because I was in a room with the heads of product planning, advertising and marketing and told them the same thing they are doing now. But its kind of funny.

Its nice to see that my work is still out there being shuffled around.
