Did you arm the system via remote and then unlock the car with the key?

 

TBH, I never got the remote with the car.
I just went outside to open the door and the alarm went off.
Im not quite sure why.

 

I think that if you hold the key when opening the door several seconds it disarms the alarm.

 

Might have to lock and unlock it a couple of times with the driver door key, it should turn off the alarm.

Sometimes the door electrical contacts need to be cleaned.

As an aside, if you can locate a remote (eBay, classified, dealer, etc.) they can be reprogrammed thru the TECH-II (Saab tool) for your car.

It is my understanding that the TECH-II can reset the sensitivity of the alarm. I need to do that becuase when a heavy truck or ricer drives by the alarm sometimes goes off.
