While I am doing some photobucket uploading I thought i'd share a few pics of a project Dad and I have been working on. Check it out. 1974 MG Midget. 55K original miles, 1275 cc engine, now with cadillac pearl white paint! Pictures don't do it justice.

All done in his garage by us, and a painter friend/mentor. There are some errors, but I won't point them out of course!

not really a full on restore, more of color change paint job. He has had it for about 4 years, and it has always been running. We rebuilt the head, and wnet over the engine last year and added electronic ignition. A year before that we did the interior, and this year the body work and paint. The paint before was pretty dull, and peeling in some places. It didn't look bad from far, but far from good.

Overall its a real fun car to drive, but it is just that, a driving car. he drives it all over the place during the summer, but never in foul weather. We once got caught out in the rain and even with the top up we still got soaked! It might be better now as ALL the rubber has been replaced.

OOOOO glad to see another brit car person on the board! I love MGs, my next project is going to be a Midget Auto-X car. I was tempted to buy one I found in a junkyard but it was a little too far gone. Also your car is almost the same Pearl White that my dads current '70 MGB is! (his is Audi Pearl White)

my brother is actually building up a '72 MGB-GT. He is working out either an EcoTec turbo swap or just turbo the original engine. With this he is also doing X-flow heads and a megasquirt FI. It's going to be a beast when it's done

Very Nice MGB!! Love the hardtops, they are cool!

I would SO love to do megasquirt and a couple of psi boost. The intake/exhaust area is WIDE open on this MG and a non-intercooled GT17 would tuck nicely in there I think. We already have the electronic ignition so that part is done. Everything else is mechanical (gauges etc) so it seems pretty straightforward. Of course thats just a dream!

I love garages with full windows. Makes them sooo much more usable. Granted it also allows people a view of your spread but if it's a good neighbrohood and you have security...nothing better!

Cool car!
He acutally has that mirror tint on these windows. It works pretty good, you can hardly see inside, but the outside view(from in to out) is still pretty good. If you need more light, open them up!

I see a Saab in this picture!!!
You sure do! How are you supposed to have a proper garage with no Saab! Of course, my saab is just a guest, not a resident :( I am always over there to work on the car though. I told him yesterday it just doesent feel right working on a car at my house. I've been working on cars there since I was like 13 so my driveway/garage just doesen't fit!
I'll have to get some pictures of my 67 Sunbeam Alpine to post.
DO IT!

I'll have to get some pictures of my 67 Sunbeam Alpine to post. My very first car I bought it at 13 and repainted it my self with some help from an uncle. drove the car from the time the snow melted untill the snow flew in the fall for 4 years. Kept it untill we had a family. then for my 40th birthday my loving wife bought me another one. It still needs to be restored but I'm still having fun driving it untill I have time.

the Tiger is just insane!!!! the Alpines are starting to come up in value because everyone is putting in the V-8 or the V-6. I will keep mine just the way it is. The motor only has about 3k on a fresh rebuild and runs sweet. My biggest issue is the trans leaks like a sive. When my inlaws were transporting it back from SF California the tail shaft exploded, and in the rush to get it back on the road for my birthday the failed to replace the tailshaft seal. When I'm ready to paint it I will fix it then when the motor is out.
