Clogged Sunroof Drain

How do I clean my clogged sunroof drain on my 1989 SPG?

This weekend, I was down in Minneapolis, and it rained all weekend. When I got into my car to leave on Sunday, my sunroof headliner was sagging (it was good previously, only the rear headliner sagged). And the headliner was soaking wet. There was water on top of my passenger seat, and my mail that I had sitting there was wet.

The carpeting in the passenger wheel well is also soaking wet.

How hard is it to clean the sunroof drain out? And how hard is it (and how long does it take) to remove all the water soaking sound deadening from the floor? It looks like I'll be ripping that out of the car before heading to SOC.

There are also drains in the rear, those are tough to get to, and are probably the ones that are clogged.

I believe the drains empty out just behind those little vents in the rear 1/4 panel, or somewhere right behind the rear wheels. The only real way to clean the rear drains is by dropping the headliner, and unhooking the hoses from the rear corners of the sunroof assy and blowing air or feeding wire through them

OR

Find where they empty out of, and blow air up throigh the drain...which is probably just as effective and definatly easier than dropping the headliner.

As far as the carpet goes, its not tought at all....just do what palmer said. I typically do this ASAP to every c900 that I get, and the foam is almost always wet when I remove it. That shit is just bad news IMHO!

Bah, the carpeting/foam is NOT coming out before SOC. My tools are locked up and I don't have access to them at the moment. :( And tomorrow my car will be in the exhaust shop getting muffled.

I'm guessing it's the rear drains that are plugged, since my buddies driveway is sloped kinda steep and I was parked with my nose up in the air. Rather than how it normally is parked, facing forward on a slight downhill slope.

I'm going to be in the cities Wednesday, and probably crashing at palmers house wednesday night. How long would it take to remove the headliner and carpet foam if we were all working on it? Could it be a quick 1-2hr jobbie?

that much pressure could quite easily blow the drain hoses off the fittings at the sunroof. personally, i would tone down the pressure a bit.

in my '92, the rear sunroof drains end at the side vents, not attached to anything. just tucked in behind the stock grille work, hanging in the forward-most vent (there are 3 or 4 separate vents behind the cover/grille)
