I was fortunate to get a hold of a carbonfiber hood from Sweden.
The hood was previously on a red 9-3 Aero but since the owner is selling the car he agreed to sell the hood to me.
It is a exact copy of the stock hood only in CF.
The mounting wasn't fun at all but I got it on at last :p

Im going to modify the grille and paint it to match the new "theme" of the car. Also the wheels will be re-sprayed at some point and some other parts will be change to match the look

(Ignore the stickers, they were added by the previous owner, I will remove them)

Mostly because the holes drilled in the hood by the previous owner wasn't spot on and I believe every car is somewhat unique so all the parts might not be 100% same as on the car it was mounted on previously.
I also had to grind the holes on the cars hood mountings bigger to make the hood move enought sideways to make it fit in the center. After getting this sorted out i realized that the holes for the hood pins wasn't 100% right so they "pulled" the hood a bit to the other side so it's not perfectly centered at the moment. But it was the best I could do and you can barely notice it so I'm happy :)

My friend just moved back home from Finland... said he loved it! Do you speak Finnish, English AND Swedish? If so, just more reinforcement of my "Fuckin' hell, Europeans are all multilingual and most Americans barely speak their own language-" generalization.
Well not everybody does. Swedish speaking are a minority here in Finland although it's our second official language. But most people who actually do speak both finnish and swedish usually also are quite good on english as well.
I speak the three and some german as well :D

looks awesome!!!

Do they have those for sale anywhere or is it custom work?
It was made by a swedish company called Reptil. As far as I know they only ever made 2 pieces before they went bankrupt. So you could say it's kind of a custom peace :)

Btw, I'm quite impressed. Finnish - Hungarian... extraordinarily difficult to learn. I'd imagine its grammar and mechanics are difficult for even the native people + German and English (two similar but very different languages) AND Swedish (Northern Germanic)... that's really quite the feat. I can claim English and I do fairly well at French but four languages is just nuts to me.

I dont know any other languages..... I feel like such an asshole.... SOOOO many people take the time to learn English (supposedly the hardest language to learn), and then there's me.... lol... I wish I could learn Swedish though... that'd be awesome! I know how to navigate through swedish car sites and stuff.... and I know a few of the basic words for car parts, but not many.

Damn son, that hood looks really nice. I LOVE the picture with the clouds reflecting on it. Looks gorgeous.

As for languages... I know Quenya fairly well - that's Tolkein's Elvish, for those not in the know. Word is that it is loosely based on Finnish - I wonder how similar the grammar rules might be.

I also speak some Mexicaneese.
