I'm going to t5 my c900 this winter and since I have a lot of ng900 b204 engine components around, I'm planning to use those wherever possible.
My thinking goes that the stock tune on the t5 ecu is designed to work with a certain FPR and injector, so using all of those from the same donor car would be a safe bet and need less tuning to get up and running (tuning for power can always come someday later).
The c900 fuel lines terminate in banjo bolts at either end of the fuel rail, while the ng900 lines are quick-connect and terminate at the same end of the rail, so I can't reuse the new rail directly.
Using the old rail is problematic because this 1992 900 turbo came with a 2.5 bar FPR while the 1997 900 se turbo came with a 3.0 bar FPR and these two parts are different style/construction and not interchangeable. There is an aftermarket Bosch 3.0 FPR that looks like it's the old style and will fit the c900 fuel rail, so this seems like the better of the two options. The remaining question is whether the newer injectors will physically fit.
So, questions for the experts:
1. Will the ng900 injectors (Bosch 0280150431) fit properly in the c900 head and fuel rail? I'm thinking O-ring diameters on both ends and also injector-lengthwise spacing between the head and rail.
2. Is the upgraded 3.0 bar FPR for a c900 actually directly comparable to the 3.0 bar FPR that came stock in a ng900? I'm suspicious that a part typically sold in 0.5 bar increments is subject to serious rounding up or down.
