When I bought the car, it was not running - it had been hit from behind while parked in San Fransisco. HOWEVER, the crazy PO moved to Salt Lake and took the parts car with him - he drove it with a bent frame, crabbing the whole way. So the body was shot, but the engine not only still ran, but must have run very strong to be able to do that. He did not own it for long though before i bought it from him - the person who owned it before him babied the snot out of that car - it was beautiful (minus the crashed portion). But I did not hear it run, so I can't tell you how it sounded or what kind of interior parts it has. Looks great though. Shipping can be expensive. I have had luck with Greyhound for bigger stuff, but FedEx lately has been pretty cheap with an account. Even with heavy stuff.

The mud flaps were installed on SPG panels and fit perfectly. I also always wondered if they made them for SPG panels, so these seemed to answer my question. So I would say, yes. These are mud flaps for SPG panels.

And the bra seems to have been an aftermarket bra. The brand is "Skin Tight" which I have never seen before. It was on an '85 or an '86. Top hood section fits any c900 hood and is in pretty good shape. The bottom section, like I said in the ad, is not in very good shape, so I'll throw it in for free. You might be able to just cut out the lower sections that are ripped. The bumper cover could probably be cleaned up to look nice.

Only asking since you have a bunch of SPG parts, do you think you might be up Seattle way at the end of March? I firmed the dates of 30-31 March for the fixit day and if you think you would be near am extending the invitation.

Geez, I wish. I'm just north of Salt Lake City, so that would be like a 15 hour drive or so. Wish there were more Saab addicts around my parts. But my house does seem to be a community landmark. Everyone - Saab lover or not - seems to know our house because there are always so many Saabs.

haha. I live in Saab country, but I still get; "you're the guy with all the Saabs, right?" when I tell people which house I live in. There is another "collector" in a nearby town. Whenever we pass by it on the way to the lake the kids always say in unison; "Saab house"

Haha, that's cool. I get a couple of guys who stop by on a regular basis. One guy bought an '87 turbo from me a couple of years ago. Really weird and quirky guy. Now he has made it his thing to stop by with a different car every time. Once was a new 911, again with an early '70s BMW, and a couple weeks ago with an Audi R8 I think it was - the one in Ironman with the engine visible through the back window. He doesn't talk much. Just wants me to see him with his cars. Definitely did a nice job on the '87. He must have poured $7k into it after he bought it from me.

Another time i had this dude call me - A black guy with a rapper accent. He had bought a 900 vert and it didn't run. He saw the Saabs and stopped by and got my number from my wife. He wanted to know what was wrong with it. I told him I didn't know - not my car. He asked if I could come take a look at it. I told him I could help him figure it out (like being a helpful neighbor kind of thing). He called again a month or so later and said he had the car towed to a parking lot near where I live and asked if I could go look at it. I said, I could look at it, but I wouldn't fix it for him. He wanted me to fix it. I told him I'm not a business, I just like to work on my own cars, but like I had said, I was happy to give him some friendly advice and recommended a good indy. He said "MAN! I thought you was a MECHANIC!" and hung up on me.

Moral of the story - careful how many Saabs you keep in your driveway or people may start expecting you to work on theirs too.

CHANGE to fixit day

I really goofed and set the fixit date for Easter weekend. While still a travel, I may have a spare bedroom if you have folks in the Seattle area that are interested in what you have. New Date is 6-7 April. Am also interested in the headlight.
