tonight i went for a little cruise down 85 outside of charlotte. I ended up cruising next to the VW and i figured why the hell not see what its got i heard there pretty quick. He wouldnt slow down much no less than 65 and then he jumped all over it so of course i was in hot pursuit. we got up to about 130 and he was about a car length in front of me. We lined up and went again from about 75 and he pulled away a little bit more this time.

my question is....is that the correct outcome i know i have about 50 more horses on him but i guess that car is alot lighter. just thought i would throw this story out there nothing spectacular. a loss for me and i wasnt too happy about it

Thats what I'm putting my money on too. Stock clutch can't take stage 4 for more then a few hard pulls....and if you keep on it like that till 130+mph it was surely slipping (even if its not a bad slip). When I installed the clutch in my car it made a noticeable difference in how the car pulled, probly because the clutch wasn't slipping the entire time.

Also keep in mind 9000 Aero Stage 4 isn't quite the same as a stock Viggen.

I dont know, my friends r32 has a chip and an intake and it has hung on with my friends viggen which suprised us all. They are heavy cars, but dont underestimate them, they are still pretty quick.

his chip and intake to my stock viggen was DEAD even seriously i have never been in such a tight race. it was nice, it left it up to the drivers(and were both good hahha)

on a side note, we each had a passenger and sterio equipment. my box is heavier tho and i also had half of my life in the trunk because i was living out of state.

good race tho, surprised me. but i also have seem him RAPE a 20th anniversary with chip, intake, front mount and possibley other stuff on the way home from waterfest

Stock R32s are about 200-210 to the wheels, like Jameson said on a good day with the sun in proper alignment. They are AWD so kiss 1/4 of your 240hp buhbye.

A VF Engineering supercharger bumps it to about 270whp, so right around where your Stage 4 would be, thus the even outcome.

R32s weigh around 3400lbs.

I've driven an R32, and the power curve is very different than a Saab.

They are VERY heavy for their size too, some weighing in at about 3500 lbs.

But, with a chip, people are getting about 270 at the crank. Couple that with peak power coming at redline, and I can see how at higher speeds it would be a handful.

I still think if you have a modded saab, that you could take it.
