Driving home from work about 3 weeks ago, and car just died! got it towed home, narrowed the problem down to my fuel pump. luckily I had an extra one kickin around from an old 99 9-5 I still have from years ago. Instead of dropping my gas tank, I cut a whole in the floor and accessed the pump through the back seat. I successfully changed it with no problems, so I thought. Had it running for 2 days and realized I had to do it all over again and rotate it so my float was in the correct place (gas gauge was on E even after putting much gas in) while unplugging the pressure line, I broke the yellow clip holding it in place, ugh. So I am now in search of another fuel pump.

It screws in to the top of the plastic. You will see when you get it . Be careful not to overtighten the screw. Be sure to wipe a little grease on all o rings before putting back together. You are doing good you already know more than some people. ;)

the orings atop the fuel pump, on the check valves are extremely tight.

my stupid guess says they wont ever work themselves out on their own.

you probably don't have much of an emergency although I can understand the need to repair...
Well i guess it would be an emergeny when you are driving down the road smoking a butt any your pressure line blows off and pump starts spraying the bottom and inside of the car.
Dont listen to that guy

yes it is a "she" so thank you, and everything I've learned i've learned from the best. and it is life or death cuz i am a smoker... I was at a friends shop working on it the second time when i broke the clip and it was only .6 miles from my house, so i booked it home and she died on me again but i was able to coast home, and yes my pressure line blew, and my back seat was covered in gas!
