Just finished the restoration of our 1991 900 Turbo Special Edition convertible about two months ago and thought I'd post:

New old stock carpet
New top
New window and door seals
New paint
converted from automatic transmission to manual
New Blaupunkt MP-46 Bahamas headunit with iPod connector
"New" 9000 Aero wheels

So far the engine is pretty much stock, but I'm amazed at the performance difference with the manual transmission now. Performance mods coming, but nothing like the '93 Commemorative we also have. The Convertible is primarily her car, and she's not as interested in wild mods.

Blast to drive nevertheless.

Thanks, guys.

As far as paint, no, I did paint another car once in my garage ('88 SPG which was totaled less than three weeks later), and told myself never again. Makes a mess, stinks up the house, and my wife was getting ready to call the divorce lawyer over that one!

Nah, I paid for the paint job...

I bought mine at S&S Auto in Warrenton, Va. They started out as a Saab independent, but have since branched out to Volvos, and the occasional BMW, Mini, and Mercedes.

Gotta pay the bills, I guess.

Anyway, I've been going to them for service since 1990. 17 years, man! Great bunch.

I bought both the '93 Commemorative and the '91 SE Convertible from Rick. My nephew also bought a base 900 from him a couple of years ago.

You can find them at http://www.sandsautosales.com

Rick just had a heart transplant. Got home about a week before Christmas. He'd been in the hospital since September.

49 yrs old with a new ticker. Go figure...

I plan to have the local club do something this spring for them. Not sure what yet, but we'll have a fun-run or something for Rick and crew...
