any possibility of selling just the DP? Not sure I want to fork over $$$ for a crinkle bent 3" system. I'm sure it flows fine, it's just the principal of it... Lou needs to get a mandrel bender.

yeah i said the same thing when i had it done but the bends dont decrease the size by much and it flows amazing. there is no cat i punched it out. i ended up putting in one of those spacers for the rear o2. its been like that for almost 2 years with no check engine light

heres a few videos they dont quite justify the sound of the exhaust but its better than nothing

 

ill look up the brand of the intercooler. its an ebay intercooler nothing crazy high end. its never been used

 

i would consider selling the downpipe by itself but i would rather sell it all together. if i dont get any interest on the entire exhaust in a week or so ill do the downpipe by itself

 

do you know if that intercooler would bolt up to a factory td04 setup

 

You would need to do quite a bit of shuffling around to get it to work on a 9-5, not so much work on a 9-3 other than mounting brackets but in either case its much easier without the ac condencer there.

 

is the wastegate the f38 or the new mvs?

 

I would guess its the older one. Its a 2 bolt flange no band clamp

No prob. I didnt like the sound as much with the cat. And it made a huge dif in spool up time without it.

Been there and done that... on my previous 85 (SPG) I had a system built from a JT DP back with no cat and only 1 magna flow (straight through) muffler, and it was loud as shit. While juicing it at on ramps it was literally Harley-like.

That sort of thing is just too much for me now in my old age (30), and besides, having a tree-hugger for a girlfriend is starting to have an affect on me (she does drive a SAAB!)

What did you do for the second O2 without the cat?

 

You just run a extension piece that pulls the rear o2 out of the exhaust stream it works great. Haven had a check engine light for it iv had it on there for almost 2 years like that

 

I did the same thing on a previous DP that had a bad cat. Worked fine.

They are called spark plug non-foulers and can be found in the Help! section at nearly any auto parts store.You can also have the ECU modified to ignore the second O2.
