try new plugs.

I'm guessing the SID message on startup is for your key battery.

Are you at altitude? Or at sea level?


I know that some mountain states only sell 91 octane as their premium gas, but if you're at sea level your car will love 93...especially when it's hot and you're putting your foot into it. I have a LPT 9-5 and I only use premium in the summer but it makes a huge difference.

 

I'm at sea level. It happened on the way up into the mountains the other day too. I always get premium, but I can't say if that is 91 or 92.

I'm worried that this is the air mass lean out thing I've heard about with t7 cars.

 

It could be.

Clean the MAF and connector, check for any vacuum leaks

 

I put 92 in it today from safeway, it didn't do it at all today. I usually get my gas at Costco.

 

THese cars do not like crappy gas try new plugs and keep using good gas

 

Ditto.....Run the highest octane you can when it's hot, or if the car is loaded down with people or stuff. And change the plugs frequently.
