This seems to be a real trend about SaabCentral. Im thinking about sending this link to the admin about the views of the excessive censoring on his site. I wish they would be more professional and accept positive critisim rather than being defensive when someone gives a suggestion. Thats why TSL has a suggestion forumDeLorean said:Just saw this post. Agree 100% about the mods. Having been banned myself before with no reason given, I know how you feel. I like the tech help and layout, but some of those mods (including the main admin)... lets just say they are not the type of people who I would want for friends. Random thread locks by mods who find a thread "boring" are a regular, and while they claim not to ban people very often (and give 3 warnings when they do) I know for a fact this is not true. I was banned with no warning, no e-mails, nothing… I will still post on saab central, and I will give advice. I even like the layout. My only problem is the administration, and there is nothing I can do about that. I think that the mods honestly think that there is nothing wrong with the way they run the site….. They need to take a hint from places like www.ifsja.org, www.j-body.org, and this site. banning and thread locking is really not something that should happen... unless there is EXTREEMLY unusual circumstances... while sites like saabnet border on extreme censorship and lack of freedom of speech, saabcentral is much better than them... I shall give them that credit. I personally like freedom of speech. Use saabcentral, and you won't have it. all it will take is a viewpoint that a single mod does not like, and you have a good chance of being banned. I know 1st hand...
dude - lay off that, it was going too far. How would you like to be sitting at work browsing this site on your down time, open a link to "graphic content" and have your boss walk by?! And If you think that we are censored, fine - do what ya want but stop trying to create trouble. That post is still open, note how it's NOT locked or deleted.MyS44Bkicksa$$ said:haha you guys are funny. I like the part with the pole.
I like it here & don't think i'll go over there but you guys censor here too. :x Just when I got here there was some post about how things got deleted . I alomst missed out on it.
that can be taken in wrong was about this site and not that site, but i understood what you meant.I personally do not reccommend this site's forum due to its unfair and unethical censorship
Lifted from SC's "Terms and Conditions of Use"5. Any gratuitous posts, basically only containing a link away from this site will be removed immediately.
I would not have thought so.Blaque_Out said:Oh wow!!! SC, is actually changing their terms  Maybe their users finally initiated some change
Sadly, even on a motoring related board, which isn't life or death, is it MickeyLifter - some sort of moderation will always be needed. As you know, your post above on the vast majority of motoring related boards, would lead to your banning, and the posts deletion. And rightly so.And that is on a site with NO moderation
What, like behaving a tad more reasonably on your own boards, and even vaguely reasonably on others!I am sure that if you continue to bash SaabCentral then somepeople might start to do something about it.
