Your pic aireeca, looks like my driveway 20 years ago. I just fished out an old photo with my red 85 and white 83 or 84? I forget now, dang.

When the white car was sold, for a few days we had a real patriotic display in the drive .. with a red, a white, and a blue 900. No big deal but .. for a second your pic was "deja vu all over again".

Sweet, Tunnan. That's my 1992 c900 n/a base Little Red in the photo, mothballed in Alabama at present while I'm working in Jersey City. Great White, the 1987 turbo, alas, has moved on to another owner.

Seeing other SAAB fans and cars is not nearly half of what we missed. Did you see the reference to the parts sales on SAABs United? I am on the wrong continent. :-(

Yeah, we all thought it was going to be next year, and found out too late that they had it this year.

Perhaps I should look into going to Sweden for our Honey Moon next year - I would love to see the countryside and the Saab museum/factory.

I've got a feeling that, whoever is going to be at SOC this year, will find similar bargains.

Perhaps. But only the people who paid full-price get to shop. Steerage is shut out this year. I think the SCNA dictatorship has lost some of its benevolency.

If this years SOC turns out to be a flop - meaning I can't get into the parts tent with or w/out a day pass - I am going to can all SOC's for future years I think. I'm just going to take more days off for Carlisle... turn it into a 4 day event I think

There is no possible way the SOC sale could be even 1/8 as good as the SDCC sale at the saab festival. They would have to fill the entire hotel with parts to have the same amount of stuff. Really too bad they didnt publicize this a bit more, would have loved to see the midnight sun rally.

i doubt it will be close to that parts sale in Sweden

Not saying that at all. What I'm thinking is that there'll be some tremendous bargains on a lot of old and odd shit that was found during the transfer of ownership and whatnot.
