Okay a lot of people are already helping me look and you all know what I need.

Things I care about:

-I want fairly low miles just for insurance value purposes

-5 SPEED ONLY!

-I need a pretty straight body as far as body damage goes, and absolutely no rust. I can deal with door dings, a messed up bumper, or a damaged panel (depending) but I dont want a wrecked car.

-Interior doesnt matter except I would like a clean crack/damage free dash, and usable door panels, but the leather inserts could be damaged.

-Good headliner.

-CLEAN TITTLE.
Things I do NOT care about:

-Aero seats can be in poor condition, or missing.

-Paint condition doesnt matter.

-Wheels+tire condition does not matter. Headlight condition/ corner condition/ suspension doesnt matter.

-The engine/trans can be broken but I would like them to be in the car still, or come with it.

Location does not matter but like I said I do not want a rusted car, or one that has seen salty winters.

Any help is very much appreciated! Finding a late model 9000 Aero has proven to be pretty difficult. ;) Please let me know if you guys know of any cars fitting the above descriptions! Diamond in the rough?

TIA!

Also lets not leave out that I think there is a little added value the newer it is and the lower mileage it is when I am all said and done. You know, for the next fire. :)

Anyone on the forums in North Carolina? Im pretty set that this is the car I will buying and could use some help for a day from someone local. You know, go to lunch, work on the car, run to the auto parts store, etc.

Joking about insurance fraud on an open forum, priceless! ;)

Because a true "aero" is worth more. And if I start with a $200 1993 CSE with 450,000 miles on it, it will always be a 93 CSE with 450+,000 miles on it.

I am only going to be spending the insurance money from my last Aero, on the new one. Im going to get a car for $1500...
Are you going to get it appraised and do an agreed-value policy post-mods? If not, you'll be in the same situation as before.

How much you getting from the old one and have they let you get into it and pull it apart yet?

why does it have to be an aero or an auto honestly?

with the amount of work you are going to do to it, i wouldn't think that being a non-aero would really matter. i guess the trans thing is a bigger deal, but jk's car was an auto.....

Anyways I already found a car I think, im going to go call and speak with him on the phone now.

Yeah Really - 1995 was the begining of the Good Stuff in 9000 - more shit to break and all. My keyless entry "works" And I even have the nice factory leather wheel. 94' Was the beggining of the stronger blocks - as goes Transmissions I would prolly agree 96+ But a solid 95 case is nothing to shy away from. So how much is owed on the old 9k now that you are starting another one?? If debt is present - wouldn't it be wise to clean that slate before digging a new hole. Obviously - if there is no debt factor go crazy.
Basically I paid the car off about 4-6 months ago. I have some credit card debt but not specifically from my Aero. I am only going to be spending the insurance money from my last Aero, on the new one. Im going to get a car for $1500, use my old block, old gearbox, old turbo, convert it to a two door in my garage, add the roll cage, paint it myself, and we will build everything else around the drivetrain basically. ;)
