Whining Sound Coming from Engine

Ok, a quick background. 2002 Saab 9-3. Shredded the Serpentine belt about 6 months ago and had that and the tensioner, etc replaced. Now it's making a weird whining sound that makes me feel like my car is an airplane. When I take off or rev the engine in idle you can hear it whir up. Hard to describe. But it sounds like it is coming from the back/middle and more to the right (at least from what I hear from the driver's seat).
Any ideas?

How many miles? Sounds like the oil pump death whine to me. Ever have the oil pan off?
Take belt off to see if noise goes away.

Can you dig up your old receipt?

To me it sounds like one of the idler pulleys probably the one on the tensioner. It could also be the bearing in the ac compressor.

Guessing at it from here at the ol' funeral home I say it is number 1 in the pic.
If it is, after a while it will sieze and melt off.

Dallasmurse, if it is, the second the oil light comes on shut the car down and do not restart.

If the car stops, don't be an idiot and try and force it back into running.
