let the mother fucker burn!!! burn motherfucker, BURN!
I actually was thinking about if you still have that thing. Im looking for Imola Red. I want to do red and black again, but with a red car. Maybe I will be in touch. My worst nightmare. Absolutely heartbreaking.
You can buy my '93 Aero. It's got a straight body. $2k.
Actually with the brakes on one side and the wheels on the other, the adapters look to be OK. I will know more after I can pull the wheels off but for right now im not supposed to touch the thing yet. :neutral:nothing that was made out of aluminum that came out of that fire is safe to use.
They still got f'n hot, I wouldn't touch them with a 12 foot pole.Actually with the brakes on one side and the wheels on the other, the adapters look to be OK. I will know more after I can pull the wheels off but for right now im not supposed to touch the thing yet.
Rob at Scanwest will be taking it apart to check over things. We will possibly swap cases, but it is in general "ok".Kaylan. I am in shock of what happened to your car, but what is more shocking is how you have handled this whole situation. Kudos to you!
Are you sure the transmission is okay?
Paul
This is my feelings exactly, people don't understand that the aluminum we know and use is a heat treated product, and it is not safe to assume the heat treated properties still exist in the material after a fire like this. Also with certain parts getting hotter than others, an aluminum part could be under a significant amount of stress just sitting there.they may have held their shape, but all their heat treating is out the window. they are NOT safe to use.
