Anyone know how much power the viggen clutch and pp can handle up to?(approximately)

The Viggen pp can certainly take a decent amount of power when paired with the right disk. The po of my car put down 286whp/340wtq last year...clutch doesn't slip, although I doubt it will anytime soon with a spec stg3 disk.

I ran the stock Viggen disc and plate for 2+ years with 280 lb-ft, then 390 lb-ft...

No slippage, and the disc looked OK when I took it out earlier this year. The car's getting a SPEC disc and the same Viggen PP when it goes back together....

ya, and the car will be more touchy. the add mass from the stock flywheel made the car not as jerky when you let off the gas and hit the gas.

i know this is off-topic but with the set-up I'm running now, about 310hp. You guys think a b18c5 integra type r motor in a civic hatch all motor stock could take me from a roll? because some guy i know keeps telling me that and i know he probably has power/weight ratio over me but that motor only puts out i think 197bhp?

Go have fun with him. Its all about the driver in the end. You could have the best car hands down but still loose a race whether it be a roll or from a dig. Just go have some fun.

As with any clutch if you are installing on an old flywheel that is not flat it will not hold as much for quite a few miles until it wears in. Anyway make sure to use brake clean on the plate and FW to eliminate any oil. Also give it 300 miles or so of easy driving. Don't slip it too much or full throttle it until is is bedded in. Otherwise you will glaze the disk and that is hard to recover from.

Are you running 310hp or 310 whp? Is this a guesstamate or is this what your car dynoed at? I'm speculating since you are installing a new PP that you are rebuilding your motor as well? Are you shooting for 375whp?

how much hp/ft lbs does a stock oem vig clutch hold up to? i'll be running a stage 4 setup soon and i'm having some tranny work done within the next week... so i figured id throw in a new clutch while the mechanic has the tranny out. shave some weight off the fly and maybe oem vig clutch kit? i don't plan to go anything higher than stage 4/5

What ever happened to swedish_02 who said in a few posts that he was going to build an all wheel drive saab, or even put in a cosworth motor because he "had the money" and didn't care what people thought. What a joke!

That's the way most plans that are "in the works" end up. Ask Saab9-3USA about this $1000/month budget built for his convertible. Where did that end up? He should be like $12,000 deep into it by now!

LOL - that thread was a good re-read, thank you for reminding me of that lms!

Post # 43 is fucking classic!

alright guys. this has turned into a bashing thread. Listen, there's no reason to insult or put down one's ideas(this instance being mine) just because you see it different. I have the money and an extra car, so really it's not a problem for me to do. I want the looks and interior of my Saab but some things I want different. And when did my turbo'd '02 9-3 SE HOT turn into a NA car? I started this thread to get some constructive advice, not to have stuff thrwon back into my face. If you don't like this thread and don't have anything to say that's constructive then leave the thread, please. I will be doing the conversion, and what's to make you think I won't? You don't know anything about me?

Thanks to all who gave good advice or constructive criticism.
