Upgrading PVC Valve Cover Breather Nipple...???

Well, for some reason the plastic PVC valve that goes into the valve cover breaks every now and then. I have been thinking about replacing it with two separate metal nipples. Is it OK, or should I try and keep the nipples together, just the way they are ATM. From my POV, I suppose the one from the turbo sucks air from the valve cover when the car is boosting and the one to the intake sucks air during the rest of the time. Im just getting tired of breaking those things, and trying to get a more permanent fix on it. Thanks :D

Yeah, true... they are pretty cheap. But they fail every now and then when you least expect it. Same goes for the check valve that goes to the intake. I need to figure out how to replace that check valve as well, rather than always taking it out to test if its still working and replacing it.

I will change the fitting and the check valve, that is out of the question. My question is... Is there any specific reason that those 2 hoses are in that particular position and could something get messed up because of the changes, other than my budget and my time? If i need to spend 15$ and some hours on my time, making sure that a plastic piece stops breaking and I need to wait 1/2 a week or a week for it to arrive by mail and sometimes buy them in batches at 3$ each thats like 12-15$ each time. IMO it is a good investment, and I wont have to touch it ever again. Thanks :D

can you post a pic /if your talking about the 2in1 hose one part carries coolant through throttle body, and the other crankcase gas back to the turbo inlet

if its just the pvc then you can do anything you want aslong as it seals and you dont block the hose i suggest using a aluminum -AN fitting

Here it is... Yeah, the plan would be to get some aluminum fittings soldered to the valve cover. I guess that the two fittings on the rubber piece in the image are joined like that just for simplicity and there is no actual need for them to be like that.

yup, pretty much something like that... although I was thinking to keep the two lines separate at the valve cover. What did you do there to keep them like that? I also want to change the plastic check valve on the thinner line with a more durable one...

I took the -an fitting drilled& tapped it and a piece of ss brake line and ran it through a die and screwed it in . as for a more durable one way valve . industrial air suppliers should have metal ones if not better plastic ones
