I was looking at a few 9-3's that had a few mods done to them. And they had their turbo silencer removed. Can this be done on a 9-5? What sort of benefits can be expected. I'm assuming there might be a bit of turbo noise if its removed. Any ideas on this one?

Hi, I just ran out and check my setup on my 2000, 9-3 185Bhp and it was the type of intercooler that on the left side of the intercooler the air enters and on the driver side it comes out "similar to a viggen intercooler. I felt the Hose for a silence and nothing. Mabey its in the up-pipe some where? or after the intercooler.

I did a quick drawing in paint to show you how it looks.

No you wont have it Kemo, the silencer was in the pip that led the air from the turbo to the intake side of the intercooler. On older cars they entered and exited from the same side. You have the Viggen IC so you dont have a silencer.
