So, things are not going well (no pun in 10 did) in the Gulf of Mexico.
The Mayan 2012 end of the world is in jeopardy.

It's laced with conspiracy to hide the truth, but things truly are not looking good.
My advice- Don't buy any green bananas.

This was written about some time ago and is reinforced by current data.
OK, yeah, we can't do anything about it.

Read Agenda 21, Bob. The plan is all Laid out for our Destruction. Have you seen some of the latest Hollywood Flicks about the subject? "The Road" or "The book of Eli" A few more hints to what the plan is. Just remember..... 911 was an Inside job! And Muslim People Never Attacked any Americans from Caves. The Truth is always Stranger than Fiction. More Muslims believe in Jesus & Mohamed than the Supposed "hypochristians" in this country. Would a Real christian let A Tyrannical out of con troll government Occupy, Murder and Enslave foreign countries for Oil & wealth after Tricking the people into war the same way Hitler did? We are in the Forth Reich

"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State."

Think happy thoughts, think happy thoughts, think happy thoughts, go to your happy place...

Stop it you guys, you're making my head hurt.
Jesus will spare the northeast. No worries.
It's all the fault of "the man in the sky"
I've been watching all of those Ancient Alien specials and that provoked some thoughts about stuff like this. Also saw a special on the 7 signs of Armageddon a few days ago. It's both disturbing and interesting to me and I feel like we really are in the "last days."
So, it's either going to be the demise of life on this planet, or something like the Y2K scare.
On a political note- Never let a good crisis go to waste. I loved hearing BO refer to BP as "they" when things weren't going well, but "WE" when the cap seemed to solve the problem.
We all do it- "We won" vs. "They lost" in the sports world championship playoffs.
So are WE going to save the world or are THEY gonna kick off the book of Revelation?

hoping for the y2k scenario. oh how I hope for another y2k... either that, or Im hoping that we luck out up here away from the gulf. Granted thats a shit ton of methane, but this isnt 55million years ago, Im sure we have technology to seperate methane from the atmosphere. Kinda makes you wonder, if this is all true and the methane pressures are that high at the wellhead, could BP have prevented the rig explosion even if they used the proper sealing agent? and if those pressures are that high, how could one damaged well trigger all the rest of this stuff? I dont know how frequently the sea floors are monitored but maybe, just maybe, this well issue; having brought all the cameras and sea floor monitoring into play has allowed scientists to see what was already happening right under their noses?
I had seen some info on this before, the more credible sites that i've seen (can't think of sources right now) say that a worst case is a huge methane bubble burst causing a tsunami and decimates the entire gulf coast, still shitty, but not world ending necessarily. So i dunno, I'm optimistic that neither will happen.
Given the choice, I'd opt for quick death over slow death. It's also been reported that EPA monitoring devices installed along the Gulf Coast have registered significant increases in toxic chemicals like Benzene and Methylene Chloride that is also being produced by the leak. Prevailing winds will bring that cancer-causing poison to Gulf Coast residents. The suffering for them has just begun.
A cool documentary is "Apocalypse Island." It's all about how the Mayans built a giant statue on an obscure pacific island FAR away from where there civilization flourished. The 150ft tall monument (featuring a mayan sun god and jaguar) is, by itself, nothing great, but it's position on the island shows a deeper sophistication. Where it sits, it will be in the ONLY location in the western hemisphere where one can see BOTH the transit of Venus (Venus moves across sun as black dot) and the last lunar eclipse of 2012. Who knows the significance of the find, but it's interesting to say the least. Could be the re-start of the Mayan calendar (like some suggest) or it could signal something like a meteor, comet, etc. Discuss.
Okay, so whos going to grow an "end of the world" beard over the next six months?

This forum is full of a variety of interesting and contradictory voices! Maybe that's all there is.

When GM clipped the wings of the Saab 900 to create the NG900 way back when, I was devastated by the drab flightlessness of the bird. That was the real end. Everything since then has been merely post-apocalyptic.

Alas, I remain hopeful.

But that's just me.
