I started this on central after everyone kept asking for clips, plus every other forum has a clip/vid thread for exhausts, its become kinda standard.

I got mike, coop, seth, myself and a few others.....but keep on adding to the list and I'll edit it so thats its organized

yea, wow, I did a shitty job with the linking. Zach, please post up the link to the vids you took recently, that'll account for seths and ry's.

ryan, would you consider your setup custom because its mated to a b234R instead of the regular 9-3 engine? or would you consider it still a regular saab sport exhuast. Basicly, is the note much different with the 9000 engine?

here is my car at idle and revved to 3500, it only had a couple minute warm up so I didnt want to rev any higher. if you hear a bit of rattling, that is said to be something inside my fender, it will be addressed later.

Its composed of the GS 3" downpipe and race cat, stock flexpipe and GS/Speedparts 2.5" catback. Its too quiet since its a two muffler setup, I will likely straight pipe the center muffler later.

This is the old magnaflow setup

Just a few questions

To be totally honest i prefer the quieter sound. Your car sounds very similar to mine. I still have the stock exhaust, only cut out the cats. Here in SA we dont have to have cats on our cars by law. Why did u put a rag over ur exhaust outlet. What power and torque did u make in 3rd gear. How do u know when ur car is in limp mode and how do u rectify it? Sorry about all the questions but the SAAB dealers and workshops here in SA know absolutely nothing. Think they are all just professional parts fitters.

That is 100% what I am looking for.

Thanks man!!!!

I love how quiet it is. I guess I am getting old too... HA.

What is up with the getto fitment though?? Does it just need to be adjusted?
Yeah, it needs a wee bit of tweaking. If you buy this I promise you wont complain its too loud. Part of me LOVES how quiet it is and part of me wants to cut out the center muffler.

I have a small clip on myspace still -

This is the front half of a JT 3" DP with a flex section welded to it - bolted in 3" in and out Cat - and One Magnaflow 3" straight through Muffler - I'll be deleting the Cat one day this year.... Then I'll re-dyno it at work to see if it runs any better.

breathe in, breathe out.

anyone here run jetex 2.5 catback and have an impression to lend? is it the same as BSR, because i have been finding it cheaper...
this is on my list of things to get (after new rotors/pads) and i was just wondering what people thought.

Just finished doing my exhaust on my 2002 9-3 Aero.

Specs: Genuine Saab Stainless Steel 3" Downpipe with Hi-flow Race Cat, mated to an Abbott Racing Stainless Steel 3" cat back System with the Abbott Racing 6" squared-oval single finisher backbox. Very nice system!

At idle with a throttle blip:

Through 1st and 2nd gear:

This is funy, I stopped at Shaw saab before SCD on saturday, I asked what they stocked because they had signs up everywhere about being the Nation's only Abbott distributor. Apparently the only Abbott performance they stock is an "performance air filter." But you're right, he said they order parts as needed.

The stock delivery pipe has been show to be good upto 350-400hp(est). I wouldn't worry about replacing it anytime soon. I am at stage 4 and it certainly isn't a restriction at that power level. I will only look to replace it as I upgrade to a larger turbo, even then I likely wont go past 340whp.
