I will be leaving on a long journey from Alaska to Alabama with my SAAB in early October. I am creating a blog on SAAB World and will be updating it as I can.

Follow my blog here: my blog at SAAB World

or follow me on Twitter where I'll be providing updates: me on Twitter

Wish me luck!

Awesome. Love me a good road trip. I'll be driving up the west coast of North America sometime next year, hopefully all the way to AK. Please take TONS of photos in Yukon and BC. :)

I guess I just thought of this, why oh why would you want to go to Alabama?

Who says want to? More like have to. I am in the Army and I am going there for two months of Senior Leadership Course, in Fort Rucker. It's not too far from the beaches of the Florida Panhandle, so it won't be that bad.

No, thank you for your support. For me it's just a job.

The last two days of driving have been posted: Days Seven and Eight: Washington to Montana - Blogs - SaabWorld

According to Google Maps it's been 3274 miles since I left Fairbanks, Alaska (including all the miles done on the ferry). I am already closer to Florida than to Alaska. Damn that place is far away.

Anyone here live between Montana and Georgia? I am driving alone and sure could stop along the way and make some new friends.

Very cool. Just did some catching up on your trip over my morning coffee. Thanks a lot for sharing, those pictures are really neat and the car looks great. Good luck with the rest of your travels!

Sweet, sweet photos. The Midwest has a few photogenic moments here and there. Mostly, of all my Eastern friends who've dared go beyond Pittsburgh, they remark on the flat. It does that pretty well for hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of miles.

I think midwestern people are more interesting than their landscape, whether it's the crazy people from Ohio or the warm, welcoming people from Indiana, Minnesota and Wisconsin, they are what's to see there. I got a lot of friends in the Army from the midwest and they're all good people.
