So i ditched my old setup of having my subs in the parcel shelf because when i popped my trunk it looked tacky having a box hanging out the bottom of the parcel shelf and because i used such a small box for the parcel shelf to keep weight down it didnt sound that great when i turned up the bass.
I began my new project of making a fake floor, bring the fake floor up about 6-7 inches while still keeping spare tire and oem jack.
1 step: Removed carpeting, un-hooked old amps, and basically cleaned out the trunk sprayed some 409 where the wheel was and wiped all the dust and grime off everything
2 step: I use cardboard to mark up a template of the trunk floor which i then traced onto some MDF board, i decided go with 2 sections that way if i ever need to access the amps it would hinge up and be easy to get to.
3 step: the trunk floor is not completely level, towards the struts the floor gets about 1/4inch taller so i had to trim, To bring the floor up 6inch-ish i used 2x6 under the MDF board and the 2x6 are givng it support and is where the subs will sit.
Step 4: I finished mounting the subs to a second piece of MDF board, and i decided to raise the subs up, and they are sitting on brushed aluminum to add a nice touch, hinges are up to get an idea of where they should go
Step 5: Carpet the second piece, mount the subs to the 2x6 board under them, use a measuring square to get everything straight and parallel. Screwed in the hinges
Step 6: Mounted the amps to the hinged part of the floor,
Step 7: Hooked up all wiring, finished up a few undone things and mounted the 6cd changer
Hope this inspires someone
