The Commed is going to be going into winter storage soon and I was hoping someone could give me some suggestions on how to prep besides disconnecting the battery, how often I should run it, if I should put anything specific like fuel stabil in the tank or anything else I should do for this winter.

I have never had a car in storage for the winter so any suggestions are appreciated

Is it indoor storage or out? Is it a vert or a coup? How many months are you anticipating it to be stored?

yea guess that would have helped, indoor storage, not heated. it is a vert and it is just going to be stored for the winter so max 4 months

How is the floor?

I use seafoam as a gas stabilizer.

This could be a good sticky, actually.

I store my car every year, here is what I do:
Wash
Wax
No amorall on dash, may lead to mold
Fresh oil
Full tank of gas with fuel stabilizer
Inflate tires 3 to 5 lbs above normal
Put D-con boxes around car for mice
Leave windows cracked 2 inches
Cover car with car cover
I put a few bars of Irish spring soap in a bucket in the inside and trunk
I hung a bag of damprid in the car the first two years, have not done it since
I leave the battery connected and put a trickle charger on every month or so

In the spring, just start it up, check the tire pressures and go.

Odor. That soap smells like Ireland apparently. That's a bit better than whatever stink may happen.

Good idea!
