Stock Viggen Springs & other parts

Hey all!

Its time to start rounding up parts for winter repairs while the Viggen 'vert is in hibernation.

Its a 2002 Viggen Convertible. Just before I put it away for the winter, almost a full coil broke off one of the front springs.

If someone has a pair of stock Viggen front springs I would be happy to buy them.

At the very least, I'd appreciate some help nailing down their specific part numbers because The Saab Site and eEuroparts websites claim they're the same spring as a standard 9-3 (which we all know is not the case).

On another note, I'm also looking for front wheel liners and all 3 Viggen/Aero specific air shields (that run from the bumper to the subframe).

Thanks in advance!

Not only that, but Viggen 'vert springs are different than Viggen sedan springs.

I actually have a set around here somewhere, I'd have to figure out which they are for sure though. You might consider a set of Eibach progressives as well.

Thanks for the replies!

I had no idea springs were different convertible to hardtop.

I was considering a switch to lowered springs but I was afraid of rubbing issues with the 225/45/17's I run on my RK2's. If I lowered the car I figured I'd have to downsize to 215/45/17. I live in NYC and while I put the car away for the winter to protect it from salt and potholes, city driving is less jarring with that little extra bit of rubber.

IF I were to lower the car, what are the best springs to get, the Eibachs?
