How visible will these be on a top-mount install? Pics?

Any benefit over the stockers, besides visual aesthetics? Do they get any weird heat annealing color changes?

I did see a post or two on them falling out...

Can't say for sure on a top mount, but I've had them on my 9000 and 900 for a long time. They will get interesting heat colors depending on where they are. I had 4 on the turbo/manifold flange that turned an interesting gold color. The few in the head are still silvery. I've also had them loosen up...nothing a little loctite won't fix.

You need the all short studs for the top mount manifold.

Retorquing the bolts after a couple heat cycles I have never had one work loose. If you are really worried about them backing out some high temp silicone will make a good thread locker. Loctite won't do much at those temps.

Sure if you dig around in my GenuineSaab.com Gallery there are some pics of them installed. Need to clean it up and organize it one of these days.

Thanks for the advice guys.

I already placed my GS order and pulled those bolts from the list.

I am going to go with all short OE studs...the build list is getting outta control and need to control costs where I can!
