Any base c900 purists should probably stop reading right here, but, I'm sorry, I was tired of seeing that shaved hamster back, naked look on Li'l Red.

Comme ça:

There was a little extra time this afternoon at the Plymouth Saab compound, so Jeff, Paul and Bullseye decided to do something about that hatch sitch. Easiest way to know where to drill? Daub the screw holes with some grease and then sit the spoiler on the hatch....

Image

And then press....

Remove spoiler, then tap the grease holes with a small drill.

Image

Then start drilling with a larger bit and really catch Nibbler's attention....

Image

Ooh, sunlight through a hole in the hatch.

Probably the best use of credit in this crap economy - getting the edge of the spoiler under the weather stripping.

Et voila! A shelf to hold my gas cap when I fill up! :p Thanks guys. Li'l Red is really coming together....

Thanks everybody. The guys definitely get all of the credit. I'm learning more and more about how to disassemble a c900 and put it back the right way, but I still get pretty antsy/nervous/bloody when it comes to doing some of the more serious stuff.

Old thread but interesting to see nonetheless. I drive through Plymouth and nearby Nanticoke every day for work. I saw Jeff and Paul in the silver 900 at the post office in Plymouth a couple weeks ago, the car was looking good in its current state.

:p

What type of screws did you use to attach your wing? I have a whale tail to install and figure your method should work since I have read that I will need to drill new holes.
