Word in the 2010 SOC parking lot was they're headed back east to New England, maybe Boston? Not sure that they know yet.

I heard "rummor" of NH or VT - New England sounds to be the theme however.

Had anyone heard Buffalo, NY was being considered? I heard it mentioned shortly after SOC 2010 ended. Have the WASSAAB folks given any thought to trying to help pull one together in their area? Maybe the Eastern Shore of Maryland? That could be a great area for an event like SOC.

If it's Northern Jersey...and is in the western part of the state...there are some venues that could be tapped.

If its in NE I just hope its better than Devan MA 2008.

I heard that New Hamster is a likely place.

I heard they were having it in Reading PA @ the new EPL Performance Compound Plenty of room and bars/kitchens

why your first? Can't drive? lol Only one I've missed since 2005 was the Colorado one for 2009... that was a bit far and time off would have been tricky. Must not be a real Saab nut case yet. Anything in state I try and make - out of state It all depends when they are, but SOC's are a must. Carlisle is the best however - better then SOC and worth the drive. If you've never been to "Saabs @ Carlisle" - youhave no idea what you are missing and should make plans to attend the next one in MAY 2011.

i am a huge saab nut case lol ..... owning 4 of them that are unreliable and broken should prove that lol even if its in nh thats still a 12 hour drive one way for me ..... and i dont really have a reliable enough saab to make the journey yet lol .... i hope to attend an event next year ... hopefully by then one of my cars will work properly and be able to be trusted for the journey

i will most likely only be able to attend one next year due to time off and such .... if i have something ready for saabs @ carlisle ill attend that one .... but if not .... SOC it is!!!

All I ask is that wherever they hold it, please have the location be something more interesting/diverse/stiumlating than a suburban hotel parking lot.

Yes, it's nice to see the folks you might only see once a year. Yes, trucking around the parking lot and looking at cars is always interesting. But realize that sitting and standing aren't the only two things people enjoy.

As for Reading hosting SOC? Hardly. We have no prom food on premises as a rule.

Sounds like SOC is a purely Saab Club North America event....and not up to regional clubs to consider...
