Jen and I decided to get another car. I had my heart set on a 2002-2004 9-5 Aero wagon, or a 2004-200? 9-3 Sport Combie.

So, we decided to go out "looking" what we ended up with was a different European wagon with a better chassis and consequently less money than we intended on spending! It its a 5 speed auto (manual BMW wagons are nearly non existent), and we found out after actually going to look at it that it is an AWD too. It was advertised as being a regular 325i, not 325xi, oh well.

It still certainly does not seem like "our" car yet. I'll have to do a few things to take care of that problem (blacked out grilles, something other than the ugly orange/red/clear tail lights, and some different wheels for next summer). For now it looks pretty nice, and certainly drives well.

Not a fast car for sure, and not going to be in any foreseeable future, but pretty comfortable, and certainly very practical and utilitarian. I love wagons, they are just so DAMN hard to find in the price range we wanted, then again we got this for several thousand less than we were looking to spend!

Also worth noting that we took home a 330i sport for a while (also automatic, not a wagon though), and that car was really pretty damn fun. I would have been very happy to have that motor under the hood of the car we ended up with.

This thing should end up being pretty fun with snow tires on it this winter. I'll be rooting for snow

Really nice car JK, congrats. Been in one a few times and it's a good ride, the AWD in winter is that extra bonus you'll really grow to love and will never go without. Now the next big step....filling it up with a bunch of little JKs/JKettes.:D

Incorrect.

But its unreasonable how many people make that assumption. Apparently having a dog and commonly having a bunch of stuff to haul around is not a good enough reason to get a wagon.

No kids in my near future.

Nice car. How are the seats? I've driven a couple 325/328's and that was really my only complaint. Dash wasn't that great either. Otherwise very nice pickup.

9-3 Combis are 06-present.

Looks nice, I hope BMW does their AWD better then the Mercedes 4-matic system... Apparently that is quite a troublesome system maintenance wise, and parts price is simple astounding. What's the word on how long the center diff lasts in these?
