I was just wondering how many of you guys smoke.

I quit smoking cigs about 9 years ago(when I was 16). I had smoked for 4 years at that point, mostly non-filtered Lucky Strikes or Camel Wides.

I guess that, technically, I don't really smoke weed either. I pretty much only use a vaporizer, which burns the THC and not the actual herb itself(since the THC has a lower combustion temp than the organic matter) which creates an almost completely smokeless vapor.

A pack a day of Camel lights for me for far too long. My brother and I have set a quit date, May 25th one after his birthday and my 9th anniversary.

I do not smoke in my house(except in my basement office) or in my Saab. If I'm spending time with non-smokers(most of my family and extended family)I don't smoke near as much.

Good luck with that!

When I was at McGill it was hard not too. Literally, EVERYONE smoked in Quebec at night so I was going to smoke whether the cigarette was in my hand or not... may as well get a head rush out of it. Even then though it was only when my judgement was otherwise impaired.

I've been known to help my friend's out by bumming a quick drag now and then... only to get so dizzy I swear it off for a few months all over again.

Cigarettes are a really terrible invention. It's a serious problem how many kids in 3rd world countries are habitual now.

About a pack and a half a day. It was way easier to start than it has been to quit. I also don't smoke in the house or around non smokers. I usually like to sit in non smoking in resturaunts (wich is everywhere now). I do have to have my smokes when drinking though, thats a must. But cigs are the only thing I smoke, mabey a cigar if I'm with a bunch who is smoking them, and never the pot. I'm 43 years old and smoked it twice and decided it wasn't for me.

I smoke. I started with cigars, though. I'm probably the only person who didn't smoke before I turned 18.

Still, I'm what you consider a light smoker. Quarter pack per day or so. But then again, I can go for days, weeks, or even months without smoking and not experience cravings or withdrawal symptoms.

LOL, i love how the OP asked who smoked, and everybody immediately started bashing it.

Anyways, I smoke. I have since i was 17. I usually hate it (being a slave to it, spending close to $6/pack for them, smelling bad, offending people, yellowing teeth, and having health issues in the future), but then I try to go without and end up breaking down and having a cig, then I remember that its better than sex and you'd do anything to stay with that head rush.

A lot of my friends smoke, so its hard not to. Its a very social thing to have a few brews and a few smokes.

I quit once for about 10 months a couple of years ago, then I went to a party, got wasted and started right back up again.

My dad once offered me a large sum of money to quit (like, high end of the three digits, not crazy money)... The offer still stands, and I still smoke.

My mom has irreversible health issues (breathing, heart condition) from smoking for almost 40 years, and i still smoke.

So I guess what i'm trying to say is that trying to quit is the hardest thing i've ever attempted (and failed at). I once had a psychology professor tell me that cigarettes are more addictive than crack cocaine, and I believe it.

I was a 1.5 or 2 pack a day smoker for 18 years. I quite using hypnotism and some serious megavitamins. I had tried 3 or for times using various methods.

No one can quit until they absolutley want to. You have to want it more than you want to avoid the pain of quitting. You can't be motivated by something outside, like cash, etc.

It has been 2 years for me. I still think about them occasionally, and I can''t promise I will never start again, but i know i will never quit again...it sucked that bad. Best of luck to anyone getting of the cigarette tit. It hurst, but it is worth it....

Hookah is so weird, I never really got into it. Its Middle Eastern right?
Yeah, it's a fantastic little or HUGE device. I picked up a little one after a hookah bar opened in town. Opening night the owner went home and got his that he had from when he lived in Jerusalem. It was Gold EVERYWHERE, ornate as anything you can imagine. I just love the flavored Shisha, and the fact the smoke is filtered through the water, also with the addition of ice water, it's quite a refreshing event. Great for parties or just a few friends chilling in the evening. Fantastic little conversation piece.

Mostly, I smoke a pipe (maybe a few times a month), I like the good Balkan blends, I own 4 very nice pipes and a corn cob for trying new tobaccos in.

I smoke cigars once in a long while, but I prefer the pipe honestly.

I also will smoke an occasional, unfiltered, hand-rolled cigarette (Peter Stokkeby or something comparable), and once in awhile will buy a pack of cloves to relieve my youth.

I used to smoke a lot of Camels, Kamels, and Dunhills in college, but I quit....it was too expensive and getting to be more than a habit.

I do about a pack a week or so. Marlboro's mediums. Quit for a month a while ago, but then i hit a party and that went south.

"Smoking and drinking is like pooping and peeing, it just goes hand in hand."

Personally, i still love hanging out with friends every night talking about stuff with a expresso'd coffee in one hand and a cig in the other. Finishes the day off nice.
