Didn't really make myself clear, but I didn't do it yet, just a photoshop. All I have done to the rear is take off the emblems... I am thinking about tinting the taillights soon.

That would look really nice. I would like to do something with my tail lights as well. Maybe smoke them or maybe do something really custom and clear them but thats kind of ricer-ish. Let me know if you end up doing your tail lights, and how it goes.

oh and have you taken your badges off yet?? or did you just photoshop them off? its super easy and looks a ton better if you havent done it yet.

 

imho the stock taillights are perfect. even on black cars. how many tuners tint their taillights and do all kind of awfult things to them just because of yellow blikners and stuff like that - but saab thought of it all and gave us taillights with two stripes- black and red. perfect imho.

other case would be fitting LED lights or something like that but spraying something on these ... :roll:

 

Yea.. I already took the badges off... looks clean as hell now. The tinted taillights would look pretty good in my opinion. Does it interfere with any laws, tinting the taillights?

 

I have had mine tinted for a long time now and I've never had a problem in NH with the cops or inspection services.

I think The tint would look nice (if you did a good job) Dont let what anyone else says sway your opinion on it though... Its YOUR car and you can do with it what you please..... i got so much shit from my brother before i put my 18" black and chrome rims on... he thought it would look aweful.... i think they are so sweet though. (he now agrees) but its all in opinion.... and its not like you could do anything that couldnt be undone..... I could have always put my stock wheels back and and you could always take the tint off or by new lights..... so why not try it??

I fixed all of those quadrouple posts.... :lol: :shock: gotta give the site time sometimes ladies and gents - no need to start having clickin fits with the submit button now :lol: - anyways - get some VHT tint and do that set up up - should be about 1, 2 coats tops for that level of tint. Best stuff out there for tinting/smoking tail lights. VHT Tint 8)

 

i would actually suggest some film from rockblocker, so you could take it off if you want, VHT is a one time deal.

smoked lights look nice, its the euro version of altezzas....its popular in the VW crowd

i've always thought of doing a red -out to my tailights or smoking them, smoking the headlights got a bad wrap though :roll:

summitt sells it, thats where i got mine 8) .

just gotta make sure you clean the lights off real good before you spray the tint on.

i didnt and now after like 2 years theyre lookin like they need to be re-done.

and you spray it on the outside of the light, and it makes the brake lights a little less visivlbe, but not to the piont where its dangerous

Hey Kaylan.... Yea, great site. I think the smoked tailights would look really good with your black car. I don't know about my car though. I want to see some new pictures of your ride. My brother said i can tint his back tail lights (he has a 9k with about 200k on it and is going to get a new one soon so he said i could experiment on it.....) His car is the maroon red that they made. I was thinking about getting the spray and doing an experiment on his car. I will order some today and hopefully have some by next week. Will post photos and keep everyone updated on it...... thanks for all the help everyone....

do you mean clear tail lights or a whole clear decor panel?? thats kind of a big job... and then we would have to find red buls for brake lights and stuff right?? or are they red?? Id be interested in something if it was the whole thing and not just the 2 side tail lights.... it would be interesting
