Is there any noticeable difference in the emmitence of light? I would think there would be.

 

You'd be surprised, there really wasnt any....a VERY little bit, if you have silverstars or any other really bright headlights it will still appear way brighter than stock.

 

i think you should just apart the headlight fixture and paint the chrome black.. id look cleaner and probably loose the same amount of light haha...

 

A bit too dark for me. Yeah, I think you need to paint the chrome black because those headlights just stand out a bit much. Good job though.

 

The chroms surround does so much to reflect and aim the light though, I think you would be compromising more if you painted those.

 

okay just paint the bulbs black then.... since stromer dont like my idea...

well i like it cause i never seen it on a saab let alone a silver one... but it does stand out a bit much for me....

 

I'd have to see it with the corner lamps done too make a decision.

That is the exact opposite of a performance modification.

if u want your lights to have a real smoked look, not just black, u would have to take the lense off and just paint the corners of the chrome black. this is what real smokd lights look like on VW and stuff. they call it "Joey modding" your lights

picture was bad cause it was at dusk and i was leaving for florida in a few hours, and as for why....cuase nobody has it, i'm trying to do a buncha one-off type of things, like having the bodyshop widen and open up the hole in the bumper for the intercooler to get more flow...i dont know, just wanted to be diff, EVERYONE has mesh grille, clears, and so forth.....I'm BARELY losing any light, i just sourced out a great HID kit at a an awesome price.

like this? I did the outer edges of mine, it is more subtle than eyelids on the outside but still a bit more aggressive looking than stock... most people don't even notice. I think 1 person noticed at SOC and said it looked nice. and this part does not really reflect any light so it is not a performance "downgrade"

 

I've been thinking about doing that as well dukted, very subtle.

 

ya dan exactly!!!! i didnt even look at your lights, otherwise i def woulda seen it, it makes a drastic difference on the color car that pete has, or mine it looks good on yours though i like it a lot

 

Ricot I guess you could even do it red if you like everything color-coded.

but I think black obviusly looks great on black cars but I really like the black and red color combo, so black would look sweet on your car too. :wink:

(sometimes I wish I got laser red, they are so sweet looking all clean and shined up)
