Hi guys, first post.
My alternator ground cable is in a sorry state and I'd like to replace it. I bought an original, second hand cable to replace it but it is just too short.. I am a bit confused. Pics of your alternators would be helpful. I've attached pictures of my set up and a bonus pic of my car, a 1993 LPT.

I have a beefy like 2 or 4 gage cable with battery terminal lugs on mine. I pick up under the 17mm nut that grabs the back of the tensioning bolt and then grab one of the water pump housing bolts. The little dinky factory cable is worthless. I'll try to remember to grab a photo, but you can ground it basically any way that you like. I like not having to struggle with it being way down underneath the alternator too.
