"service theft alarm" is showin up on my sid for the past.. couple weeks.. and ive been to busy to take it to a dealer and get it... serviced. anyone know the source of the problem?
of have it happen to them before?

Try holding in the clear button for 5/10 seconds. That usually gets rid of annoying info on the sid. If it doesn't, dicoonect the battery for 15 minutes or take it to a garage with a tech machine

Sadly, the most common reason for this error message is that the backup battery for the siren is low or dead. The battery is located inside the siren so SAAB does not recommend switching battery but to switch sirens. I´ve heard stories of people managing to switch batteries, but it requires solding, find a special battery and reseal the siren.
It may also be a problem with the motion-sensor if your car is equipped with such.
